The Barbara Mark-Dreyfuss Spirituality Fund was established to bring scholars and programs to Or Tzion that promote the elevation of spirituality through the content of the material they present.

Congregation Or Tzion makes an $18 gift in honor of each Bar/Bat Mitzvah teen, helping them to establish their own charitable fund through the B’nai Tzedek Program of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater Phoenix. We welcome additional gifts to this fund so that we can continue to help our teens participate in charitable giving.
The Rabbi Micah Caplan Youth Experience Scholarship Memorial Fund was established to remember our beloved rabbi’s passion for encouraging youth to participate in meaningful Jewish youth experiences. Donations to this fund help to provide scholarships for Congregation Or Tzion adolescents to attend Jewish overnight summer camp and partake in organized teen Israel programs and March of the Living.

An opportunity to memorialize the name of a loved one on our congregational Memorial Wall. Names are engraved on brass plaques displayed on the Memorial Wall, and a candle bulb is illuminated on the loved one’s yahrzeit. Donation: $360 per name.

Donations to the Security Fund will be used to support the expense of existing or new security measures. Examples include security personnel, physical security measures for the facility or otherwise that are not covered by funds from the Capital Reserve Fund, security communications to the Congregation, security training, and purchases of security-related equipment.
We use Etz Hayim Torah and Commentary, a contemporary text with user-friendly translations and extensive resources for study and Lev Shalem for Shabbat and Festivals. We offer the opportunity to dedicate these books in honor of someone, to mark a special occasion, or in memory of a loved one. Your dedicated book(s) will have a bookplate noting your contribution and the occasion you are marking. Dedicated copies of Lev Shalem are $54 each. If you wish to purchase a copy for your personal use at home, the cost is $54.
The Rabbi Robin Damsky Social Action Fund is dedicated to supporting social action programming and is named in honor of our first rabbi.
Women’s League/Torah Fund donations support a wide range of activities, from supporting women of Congregation Or Tzion to raising funds for our future rabbinical students through the Women’s League for Conservative Judaism.
The Susan & Ira Kaye Youth Fund supports a wide array of programs at Or Tzion geared toward families with children in our youth program.
Membership dues and donations paid to Or Tzion directly support the daily operations of our non-profit organization. Such payments are non-refundable. If you are moving or choose to resign your membership at Or Tzion, please check with your new synagogue for reciprocal benefits during the remainder of your Or Tzion membership.
